We're crossing our fingers and toes that my dear friend Erma delivers her baby anytime in the Aquarius zone as we all know Aquarius are the best, creative, artististic, talented zodiac sign ever born (of course, I'm biased to it since I'm an Aquarius myself). Erma is killing us with anticipation since she's decided not to find out what the sex of her unborn child will be until the big moment actually occurs.

Susana and I decided to host a baby shower bruch for Erma and since pink and blue were out of the question I was inspired by a Martha Stewart cover and created an Orange and Green table setting.  William of  William Kim Photography came by and shot some of the detail shots for me.  Thank you William I love the pictures.  I wish I could carry you in my back pocket every time I have an event.  I will have to find out how that can be possible.

This collage of pictures was the entrance table.  Initially, we were going to have a garden shower but since Los Angeles decided to dump a lot of rain on us this past week we took the party indoors.  In keeping with the garden theme I set up a table with two topiary as back drop with a string which we later clipped on some baby pictures of Erma.  Each guest was given a clothesline clip and asked to "Never Say Baby" or else you would lose your clip.  Guest with the most clips in the end won a gift.  As favors I framed a picture Susana took of Erma during her pregnancy and gave them as keepsakes for each of the guest.

Brunch was set for 12 with an 'orange' theme in mind.  Deanne of Bella Fiore created the centerpieces using roses, tulips, and carnations.  I incorporated candles and white lanterns to fill the space down the center of table.  I wish I had pictures of the amazing buffet table that was set up by The Renaissance Hotel as they served roasted tomato soup, mixed greens salad with chicken and a penne pesto pasta.  Dessert was an apple bread pudding with vanilla ice cream.  I must admit I had seconds.

I can't wait for the little bundle of joy to come into our lives.  I love you Erma and hope you enjoyed your baby shower brunch.

I've been blessed to have such wonderful couples to work with.  I still remember the day Ilia called me on the phone to discuss my services, we just couldn't stop talking.  After meeting Evan at our first consultation, it was evident why these two were getting married.  They have the best outlook not only on their relationship but on life itself.  I'm looking forward to their wedding this year.  Lot's of planning still to do.

I met with Ilia and Evan early this past Sunday morning to finalize their stationary design.  Shortly after that they met with  Henry for their engagement session.  Not even the rain could stop these crazy kids.  For more pictures venture over to Henry's blog .

Here's to starting the New Year off with a kick!  What a great turnout we had for our first TWC Vendor Mixer.  Deanne of Bella Fiore, Henry of Henry Chen Photography and NOZZA (that would be me) hosted an night of music, drinks, and some yummy deserts for all our industry friends.  In the spirit of paying it forward we hope that these mixers will be the first of many to help our community and fellow colleagues in a way we possibly can.

The pictures below are both of Henry and NOZZA's studio located in Down Town Long Beach.  I love the fact that we are neighbors.  If you're ever around town, stop by and say hello.

I was honored to have been one of the first to join Bonnie Tsang for her series of Real Talk over Real Food.  Also joining us were  Adrienne Gunde  and Jane Jeon.  It was a stormy day but we all knew we wouldn't miss the opportunity to pay it forward.

Not only do I have a passion for planning and design but I also enjoy giving advice, tips, and business ideas to all that will listen, as well as receiving sage advice in return.  In my humble opinion, I feel that the best way to improve your business, learn about what works and doesn't work is to talk to those who have lived through it.  There are a lot of people out there willing to help as long as you are willing to listen and learn.

Thank you Bonnie for inviting me and my offer will always stand. So, any time you need a life coach or just a little inspiration give me a call or a twitter nudge.

 {Oh and don't let me forget to mention the food was delicious, next time we won't forget dessert}

Collaborating with Gamie this past year has been a joy.  She takes my crazy concepts, ideas, sketches and makes them come alive on paper.  Peach Mail Box is my primary designer and with her help we created these invitations for our first vendor and client mixer of the year. We're excited to have all our friends come out and visit both Henry's new studio located a few spaces down from mine. We are looking forward to seeing old friends and meeting new ones. If you are one of our past clients, new clients or just interested in our services we have changed our client mixer from January 22, 2010 to Friday, January 29, 2010. You're welcome to come by and say hello.
